Baby walkers recalled due to potential safety hazard

Thousands of baby walkers are being recalled across the country because they pose a potential safety risk to children.

The recall affects more than 13,000 “Wonder & Wise Baby Activity Walkers” manufactured by Asweets.

According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, small rubber rings on the rear wheels can detach from walkers and become a potential strangulation hazard.

The company has received 10 reports of rubber rings coming off the wheel of the product. No injuries were reported.

The rollators were sold at Crate & Barrel, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Amazon, children’s specialty retailers and online retailers, from October 2020 to March 2022 for between $90 and $120.

If your walker is not labeled with lot code 092521SCP01155, 101021SCPO1155 or 012022SPC01155, it is affected by the recall and should be immediately removed from children until it is repaired.

Asweets will send a free repair kit with replacement wheels to anyone who reports a recalled walker.

“Our products are rigorously tested and consumer feedback is closely monitored to ensure that we are providing our consumers with products that are safe for babies and children,” the company said in a statement. statement. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our consumers.”
